MIYA'S BEFORE

LOOSER, LONGER DRY, THICK CURLS

using Happy Hair Fusion

Prior to my recent big chop #2 (below), my natural hair was shoulder length & 3-4 times a year I would have it professionally blowdried. However, when I wore it curly 95% of the time (as a wash & go or twist out), my curls halfway down the hair shaft would be much looser than my tighter curls above & so I’d have to flexi rod or roller set it to find ways to manipulate my hair for uniform curls.

Looking to keep my hair fly, my hair routine grew more & more complicated in attempt to match (both) textures. Needless to say, wash and go’s & twist outs went out the door. Sooo, two weeks ago (11/2017) I cut off all the heat damaged hair & here I am starting "sorta" over (below). (Note: No judgment in how you want to style your natural hair; I wanted to reduce my hair routine time & simplify due my very busy life).

MIYA'S AFTER

TIGHTER, SHORTER DRY, THICK CURLS

using Happy Hair Fusion

Well here's my new look! Here's what I did: Co-washed & applied Happy Hair Fusion (HHF) to my entire head. Then I separated hair into 4 large sections & duck clipped sections I wasn't working with to focus on one section at a time. Within the larger section, I took a smaller section & applied a bit more HHF & raked & finger combed it through. I then added gel & raked & finger combed even more & water spritzed curls leaving section super wet with poppin' defined curls. I did this for each section. Sat under a hooded dryer for about 45 minutes until completely dry (I also defuse with a handheld dryer when in a rush). Stretched curls a tad. Done!
